Mountain West Vintage Trials Association Rules

MWVTA rules are in the process of updating to be in keeping with the requirements of our AMA Charter. The updated rules will be posted as soon as they are available.
MWVTA may also use Supplemental Rules (which may be updated each season), and the inclusion of Tech Inspections for every event. Click on the links below to open a PDF document which can be printed.

  • MWVTA Skill Level Comparison – PDF (compares the skill level designations of MWVTA, modern trials clubs & AHRMA)

For insurance purposes, the parent or legal guardian of any minor participating in a Mt. West Vintage Association event must provide a signed “Minor Waiver”. A separate waiver is required for each minor participating in each event and must be signed by both parents. You can download and bring the completed form with you – be sure to have it notarized if you sign it ahead of time.

AMA also provides an annual competition waiver for both adults and minors. Riders who are AMA members and participate in AMA-sanctioned events are eligible for this waiver.
